All employees who meet the eligibility requirements under your employee group benefits plan must be offered participation in your plan. For example, if the class description states “All Eligible Employees,” that means every employee who works the minimum number of hours per week stipulated in the Booklet must be offered enrollment.
Contractually, Insurers require a minimum number of people to be enrolled on the group plan. These stipulations are based on the size of the company, a certain number of employees may be allowed to opt out of coverage. Contact your Client Service Coordinator for more information.
