EMAIL SUBJECT: An Important Change to your Employee Benefits Plan
EMAIL BODY:
I wanted to let you know that GroupSource will be making some changes to the providers of key coverages in your employee benefit plan on October 1, 2021. These changes will offer you an improved overall benefits experience and, in some cases, more robust coverage.
- Out of Country and Trip Cancellation: Emergency medical assistance and coverage when travelling outside of Canada previously insured by SSQ/CanAssistance will be provided by Industrial Alliance, while Trident Global Assistance will manage all inquiries, emergency support, and claims. If you are traveling out of country on or after October 1, 2021 and need assistance, you will need to contact Trident Global Assistance.
- Basic Accident & Serious Illness (ASI): Peace of mind when the unexpected happens (accidents, loss of life, or diagnosis of a serious illness). Service and claims support will be provided by Disability Management Institute (DMI).
- Optional Critical Illness (Optional CI): Coverage for life threatening illnesses previously provided through Temple Insurance will now be provided through Industrial Alliance. Disability Management Institute (DMI) will remain your service and claims provider. Check your benefits booklet on WEBS to confirm if this coverage is included in your plan.
GroupSource will be communicating with you directly on how you can start working with the new providers and using these coverages.
If you have any questions about this change, please contact me directly.
